The Fieldings

The Fieldings is a care home offering personal care to older people and younger adults, including those with physical disability, dementia, mental health conditions, or drug and alcohol dependency. It supports around 10 people. The service has improved from Requires Improvement to Good, with the CQC finding a safe, clean environment, effective infection control, and staff who knew people's needs well.

Care was mostly person centred and kind, though vegetarian meal choices were limited and indoor smoking arrangements had not fully considered second-hand smoke risks to others. End of life wishes had not been explored, though no one currently needed this. Inspectors found clear leadership, good oversight, and strong partnership working with external professionals.
