The premises were clean and well-maintained, with staff completing enhanced cleaning of frequently touched surfaces. Staff had received training on infection control and correct use of Personal Protective Equipment, which was worn appropriately and always available in sufficient quantities.

The home followed government guidance on COVID-19 testing for both staff and residents, and ensured non-exempt staff and visiting professionals were vaccinated. A managed visiting system allowed essential caregivers to continue visiting throughout the outbreak. Visits were pre-booked and staggered to keep numbers manageable, with visitors required to complete COVID-19 tests and wear PPE during their time in the home.
