Darnall Grange

Darnall Grange accommodates up to 60 people requiring nursing or personal care, with a particular focus on supporting older people and those living with dementia. At inspection, 51 people were using the service. The home has adapted its two-floor building to support effective infection prevention and control, including reconfiguring communal areas on the first floor to enable social distancing. Staff use a separate entrance to don personal protective equipment before entering the premises.

Staff have received training on infection prevention and keeping people safe, and inspectors observed them wearing appropriate PPE correctly. The provider ensures adequate supplies of PPE are available at all times. The premises are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness, with staff completing enhanced cleaning of frequently touched surfaces throughout the home.
