Wyndham House Care

Wyndham House Care, in Norfolk, provides nursing and personal care for up to 44 people, including older people and those living with dementia. It was caring for 38 people when the CQC carried out this assessment, which rated the service inadequate overall and found breaches of regulations covering safe care, person-centred care, staff recruitment and governance.

Inspectors found risks to people were not always identified or properly managed, including delays acting after falls that left one person coming to repeated harm. Care plans lacked enough detail for staff to provide safe, consistent support, and staff, including some agency workers, were observed to be rushed and task-focused, with poor attention to people's privacy and dignity. Families praised permanent staff and found managers approachable, but overall care fell well short of expected standards.
