The Gables Residential Home

The home prioritised maintaining connections between residents and their families through flexible visiting arrangements. Relatives could book indoor visits in a dedicated visiting pod and garden area, with arrangements coordinated through emails and telephone calls. Residents also had unrestricted access to video calls and telephone contact with friends and family. Staggered staff breaks helped maintain social distancing, and the service had clear protocols requiring staff to isolate if they tested positive for COVID-19.
