WYCHDENE CARE HOME

Wychdene is a residential care home accommodating up to 24 older people and people living with dementia, with 22 residents at the time of inspection. People, relatives, staff and healthcare professionals reported significant improvements since current management took over. Residents feel central to decision-making and report that their views are sought and acted upon. The home maintains up-to-date practice aligned with national guidance and continually develops its services.

Residents report feeling safe and are supported to take appropriate risks while staff manage safeguarding concerns confidently. Medicines are managed safely and infection control measures follow national guidelines. Staff work cohesively as a team, feeling supported, motivated and appreciated in their roles.
