Worthington Lake Care Home

Worthington Lake is a purpose-built residential home providing personal care and support for up to 34 people aged 65 and over. The home was specifically designed alongside leading academics to create optimal surroundings and facilities for people living with dementia. Accommodation spans two floors with en-suite bedrooms and spacious communal areas including a kitchen, social spaces, dining room, and gardens. At the time of inspection, 31 people were living at the home.

The home has implemented robust infection control measures, including visitor screening with lateral flow device tests, temperature checks, and provision of personal protective equipment. Vaccination status records are maintained on file for professionals. Throughout the pandemic, the home has prioritised maintaining contact between residents and their relatives through multiple channels, including a dedicated visiting lodge within the grounds, balcony and garden visits, phone calls, and video calls.
