Greenacres Residential Care Home in Wigan provides personal care for up to 40 residents. During the inspection, the home demonstrated strong infection control measures, including temperature checks and health questionnaires for visitors. The service had implemented various ways for residents to maintain contact with family and friends during the pandemic, including video calls and window visits.

When residents tested positive for COVID-19, zoning arrangements were used to isolate them in designated areas of the home. COVID-19 testing was available for both staff and residents, with vaccination scheduled to begin shortly. New admissions required confirmation of a negative COVID-19 test before moving into the home.
