Windsor Court

Windsor Court, in North Tyneside, provides personal and nursing care for up to 44 older people, including some living with dementia, across three suites. The CQC found the home requires improvement and identified breaches of legal regulations relating to safety and governance, including shortfalls in medicines management, infection control, staffing levels and leadership oversight. The assessment followed safeguarding concerns, and the local authority was monitoring the service.

Inspectors found care experiences were mixed, with some families praising staff kindness while others felt concerns were not always acted upon. Positive interactions were observed, and the provider had begun an improvement plan, but further work was needed to ensure consistent, person-centred care and a stronger management culture.
