About Hadrian House

Hadrian House is a nursing home in North Tyneside, providing nursing and personal care. Further detail on the service can be found in the CQC findings below.

Hadrian House provides nursing and personal care for up to 50 people across three floors. At inspection, 46 residents were living at the home, with the ground floor designated by the Local Authority as a care setting for people discharged from hospital with a positive COVID-19 status. The service had governance systems in place to monitor quality and safeguard people from abuse, with accident and incident analysis occurring regularly.

However, COVID-19 testing was not always carried out in line with government guidance, and some staff did not consistently follow safe infection control practices. The home took prompt action to address these issues. Visitors had designated essential care givers, and arrangements were in place for visiting.

One resident expressed concern about restrictions on going outside the home when they wished.
