Belle Vue Nursing Home

Belle Vue Nursing Home accommodates up to 49 people with nursing and personal care needs, including some living with dementia. The home is purpose-built and had 40 residents at the time of inspection. The registered manager had identified and mitigated all COVID-19 related risks, including providing visitors with personal hand sanitisers to prevent residents from accessing them. An effective monitoring system ensured the service followed government guidance and provider policies, with support from the Head of Compliance.

Staff demonstrated confidence and knowledge about COVID-19 protocols, and the registered manager maintained consistent leadership in managing the service. Professional visitors and relatives were required to provide either a COVID-19 test conducted at the home or a negative lateral flow test result from that day, along with evidence of vaccination status before entering the premises.
