Whitegates Care Centre Limited is a nursing home providing care and support to older people with physical and health related needs, some of whom live with dementia. The CQC found the service continues to require improvement overall, with shortfalls remaining in governance despite some progress since the last inspection. Safe care also requires improvement, though people and relatives generally described feeling safe and well looked after.

Inspectors found staff knew people's individual needs and risks, and caring, effective and responsive care were rated good. Some relatives felt staff deployment was not always timely, particularly for people who stayed in their rooms, although this did not appear to affect people's safety.
