About West Wood Care Home

West Wood Care Home in Norfolk is a purpose built residential home for younger and older adults, including people living with dementia, physical disability or sensory impairment, with capacity for up to 70 people. The CQC rated it Good, a significant improvement following previous enforcement action, and the service is no longer in special measures. Inspectors found risks were now well managed, medicines handled safely, and staffing levels increased.

Some residents felt staffing could still be stretched at busy times, and healthcare professionals gave mixed views on staff dementia knowledge, which the provider is working to address. The first floor environment was also flagged as not yet ideal for people living with dementia. Overall feedback from people and relatives was largely positive.
