Waterloo House

At inspection, inspectors identified a significant concern: the home was not registered to support people with mental health needs, yet one resident required this type of support. Staff had not received training in mental health care, and an important incident involving this person had not been reported to regulators.

Since the registered manager joined the home, they developed a service improvement plan and introduced new systems for quality assurance, demonstrating commitment to continuous learning and driving improvements. The home demonstrated a culture of openness and honesty, with staff reporting they enjoyed working at Waterloo House and caring for the people living there.
