Salford House

Salford House is a care home providing personal care and accommodation for older people, including some living with cognitive impairment. The CQC rated the service Good overall, finding a motivated management team, positive relationships between staff and residents, and staff who understood people well and supported their individual preferences. Residents and relatives spoke highly of the care and felt safe and involved.

Inspectors identified some shortfalls, including inconsistent recording of mental capacity assessments and errors in applying patch medicines correctly. Quality assurance audits had not picked up these issues, and the registered manager agreed to review them. Staffing levels, recruitment checks and infection control were found to be satisfactory throughout the home.
