Victoria Chartwell provides personal and nursing care to 22 people aged 65 and over in a three-storey building with an enclosed garden. Residents felt safe and the home maintained safe recruitment procedures with sufficient staff numbers. The environment was clean and well-maintained, with risk assessments in place and a kitchen holding a good food hygiene rating.
Medicines were managed safely and regularly audited by a pharmacist.
Staff received training relevant to their roles and residents' needs. People underwent pre-assessments before admission and had their care regularly reviewed. Residents were encouraged to personalise their rooms with their own pictures and furniture to create a familiar, homely environment.
