Asher Nursing Home

This nursing home provides personal care for up to 17 people with long-standing, complex mental health needs. At inspection, 14 people were using the service. Inspectors found significant governance and safety concerns. Care plans and risk assessments were out of date, inaccurate, or missing, meaning staff lacked up-to-date information about people's care needs and support requirements. A substantial fire risk existed due to people smoking in their rooms without robust risk assessment. The environment was not consistently safe and clean, and accident and incident reporting was inaccurate. Documentation standards were poor across the service, and care was not always delivered in a person-centred way due to these systemic issues with record-keeping and oversight.
