Kingsland House

Kingsland House is a nursing home providing care for people with physical illness or dementia, split into areas based on need. The CQC found the service to be Good overall. Staffing levels were generally adequate and the home was clean, though some staff had gaps in their understanding of their responsibilities and there was no registered manager in post at the time, with senior staff covering this role.

Inspectors found most staff treated people with dignity and kindness, but noted poor practice at mealtimes, including unsafe positioning and inattentive support for some residents. People on Memory Lane were not always treated with compassion, and activities for people living with dementia were not always engaging. Families and residents were involved in care decisions and complaints were actively followed up.
