Inspectors found people received person-centred care from staff who knew them well, with safe medicines management and well maintained surroundings including two gardens. Governance had improved, giving the registered manager better oversight, and people described staff as wonderful, with a calm, welcoming atmosphere and regular visitors.

Date of assessment: 24 April 2025 to 6 May 2025. The service is a residential care home supporting up to 20 older people, some living with dementia. We found improvements had been made to care plans, medicines and governance. Previous breaches of Regulations were met. The service is now rated Good overall.
People received person centred care from staff who knew them well. There were enough staff with the right skills, qualifications and experience. People were safeguarded from harm and risks were assessed and managed. Medicines were managed safely and people were involved in medicine reviews. The home and equipment were clean and well maintained with easy access to two separate gardens. Incidents were tracked, reported and investigated in an open way.
Governance systems had improved giving the registered manager oversight of the service. The culture was open with a staff team who felt confident in raising concerns and making suggestions to improve. People knew how to give feedback and knew it would be acted on. Staff continued to work with health and social care professionals to improve people’s quality of life.
