St Winifreds Care Centre

St Winifred's is a residential care home providing personal and nursing care to older people with dementia, currently supporting 33 residents with capacity for up to 59. People and their relatives reported feeling safe at the service. Staff demonstrated knowledge of recognising signs of abuse and appropriate reporting procedures, with allegations being properly investigated by the local authority.

Care plans had been improved since the last inspection, with residents having individualised risk assessments in place that gave staff the information needed to provide safe care. The home had demonstrated learning from previous incidents and made appropriate changes to enhance safety.
