Additional staff were deployed on shifts to reduce waiting times for assistance, and the provider installed enhanced Wi-Fi connectivity to help people maintain contact with family and friends.

Garden rooms with direct outdoor access were reserved for new residents, allowing family members to visit safely during their isolation period and helping them settle into the home.

The home also supported staff who use public transport by arranging alternative travel options to reduce infection transmission risks. Additional activities staff were placed on duty to ensure residents' social and emotional needs continued to be met, particularly important when family visits were restricted.
