About Wayside Care Home

Wayside Care Home is a nursing home in Worcestershire, providing care for older and younger adults, including people living with dementia and those with physical disabilities. Details of the most recent CQC findings are set out below.

Wayside Care Home provides nursing care for up to 31 older and younger people, including those living with dementia and physical disabilities. Inspectors rated the service inadequate overall and placed it in special measures, finding breaches relating to safe care, the environment, and governance. Fire exits were blocked, evacuation arrangements were inadequate, and maintenance issues had not been addressed despite earlier warnings.

Care planning was often incomplete or inaccurate, and staff training and moving and handling practices fell short. Inspectors also found people were not always treated with dignity, with inappropriate language used and limited personalisation of care. Leadership had not resolved previous concerns or shown consistent improvement.
