The Woodlands Care Home

The Woodlands Care Home provides accommodation and personal care for up to 16 older people, including those with sensory impairments, and was supporting 11 people at the time of assessment. The CQC found the home remains inadequate and in special measures, with breaches relating to safe care, governance, person-centred care and dignity. Inspectors found poor infection control, unaddressed hazards, unsafe medicines management and unreliable staffing.

Some relatives and residents described staff as kind and caring, and food was praised, but the CQC found care records were inconsistent, activities limited, and people sometimes left without engagement for long periods. Safeguarding and communication were unreliable, and leadership had not shown it could identify or fix ongoing concerns.
