The Lodge

The Lodge provides residential care and personal care for up to 20 people, with 18 residents at the time of inspection. Governance systems need strengthening to drive improvements across the service. Risk assessments require attention, with some found to be out of date or missing, creating potential gaps in ensuring people receive safe and appropriate care tailored to their needs.

Infection prevention and control practices in the kitchen area and personal protective equipment use also require improvement.

Medicines management has progressed positively, with people receiving prescribed medications as intended and staff receiving regular training and competence checks. Residents and their relatives consistently describe staff as kind and caring, and report feeling safe within the home.
