The Poplars Care Home

The Poplars Care Home provides personal and nursing care to up to 43 older people, including those living with dementia. At inspection, 39 people were using the service. Staff maintained detailed information about individual risks, and people and relatives reported feeling safe. The home was clean, safety checks were regularly carried out, and medicines were managed safely. Staff understood their safeguarding responsibilities, and recruitment checks followed proper procedures.

However, daily care given to people was not always recorded, meaning records did not consistently reflect the care provided. The provider has been recommended to review documentation practices to ensure records accurately capture the support given. The service has experienced some recruitment challenges but is working to address these ongoing issues.
