The Paddocks

The Paddocks is a specialist service for people with a learning disability and autistic people, caring for 6 people at the time of inspection. It has long been run as a family home by its owner, who is also the registered manager, with several people having grown up there. The CQC rated the home Good overall, finding staff kind, respectful and attentive, with enough skilled staff to meet people's needs safely.

Inspectors found people were supported to make choices, maintain independence and take part in activities they enjoyed, and were involved in decisions about their own care. Staff felt well supported and confident raising concerns. The provider was open and approachable, though was advised to update their knowledge of current national guidance for learning disability and autism services.
