The Minster

The Minster is a residential care home providing personal care for up to 10 adults with a learning disability, autism and/or a physical disability, many with limited verbal communication. It is staffed 24 hours a day, with single occupancy bedrooms across two floors. The CQC rated the service good overall, unchanged since its previous inspection.

Inspectors found people were treated with kindness, dignity and respect, and supported to make choices and build on their strengths. Staffing levels were sufficient to keep people safe, and the culture was open and person-centred. Some care records were under review, and improvements were needed to ensure consistently safe care.
