The Grange Residential Care Home

The Grange provides residential care for up to 36 people, including older adults, younger adults, people living with dementia, and those with sensory or physical disabilities. The home comprises communal areas on the ground floor with bedrooms, bathrooms and toilets across two floors.

Inspectors identified significant safety concerns. Fire safety risks and hazardous substances had not been properly identified, and infection prevention and control measures were inconsistent, placing people at risk of cross-infection. The manager and provider's audits had failed to identify these issues. However, people felt safe in the home and knew how to raise concerns. Staffing levels were sufficient to meet residents' needs, medicines were managed safely, and care planning followed current best practice guidelines.
