The Grange Residential Care Home

The Grange Residential Care Home is a residential care home providing support to older people and younger adults, including people living with dementia, physical disabilities and sensory impairments. Following an inspection prompted partly by a serious incident, the CQC rated the service Requires Improvement overall, citing continued breaches around safe care and treatment, premises and equipment, and governance.

Inspectors found falls and incidents were not always reviewed or learned from, some care plans had not been updated for months, and environmental hazards such as excessive water temperatures and missing window restrictors were identified, though the provider acted quickly to fix these. People said they felt safe and had access to equipment they needed. Caring, effective and responsive care were each rated Good.
