However, the home was undergoing a lengthy refurbishment at the time of assessment, and Derbyshire Fire and Rescue raised concerns about inadequate fire evacuation arrangements on the first floor, delaying people's planned move into a newly refurbished section. Some relatives felt the slow pace of the work was affecting their loved ones' wellbeing, though they described management as approachable and responsive to concerns.
