The Chesters Care Home

The Chesters Care Home provides personal care and accommodation for up to 33 people, with 29 residents living there at the time of inspection. People and their relatives expressed confidence that staff possessed the right skills to care for them safely.

However, the local authority and visiting professionals raised concerns about staff and the registered manager's ability to identify when residents' needs changed. In response, the registered manager and provider began working with the local authority and professionals to improve how they recognise and respond to changes in people's needs. The registered manager and provider also completed various audits to check the quality of care and service.
