Grasmere Lodge

Grasmere Lodge accommodates up to 20 people with mental health needs or associated conditions across two conjoined houses. At inspection, 15 residents were living at the service.

The senior management team's oversight required improvement. Audit tools used were basic and did not allow for full scrutiny and critical review of operations. Management had infrequently visited the service since the pandemic, with the nominated individual citing Covid-19 outbreaks over six of the previous 25 months as the reason, though it remained unclear why visits had not occurred during periods without outbreaks.
