Northbourne is a purpose-built care home accommodating 34 people with personal care needs, including some living with dementia. The registered manager and deputy manager have established effective monitoring systems to ensure the service follows government guidance and provider policies. Staff demonstrate confident knowledge of safety protocols, with professional visitors and relatives tested for COVID-19 and vaccination status checked before entry. The home has identified and mitigated all COVID-19 related risks to people, staff and visitors. People are encouraged and supported to maintain community connections and visit relatives, with visiting arrangements available in residents' rooms, a designated visiting room, or the communal garden. Staff have access to appropriate personal protective equipment throughout the home and have received additional training on correct usage and infection prevention and control measures.
