Tandridge Heights

Tandridge Heights Care Home, in Surrey, provides accommodation, nursing and personal care for up to 75 people, including those living with dementia or physical disabilities. The CQC rated the service Requires Improvement overall, following an inspection prompted by safeguarding concerns. Inspectors found two breaches of regulation, relating to unsafe medicines management, poor infection control, and weak governance that had failed to identify these shortfalls.

Staff were found to be kind and caring, and people had good access to healthcare and activities, but many faced long waits for support, including delays getting up in the morning. Staffing levels needed better organisation, and record-keeping required improvement to ensure care matched people's needs. The provider has been asked for an action plan to address the concerns raised.
