Buxton Lodge Care Home

Buxton Lodge Care Home provides residential and nursing care for up to 44 older people, including those with specific needs and dementia. On the day of inspection, 30 people were living at the service.

The home demonstrates imaginative approaches to maintaining family contact. An attractive visiting area with a gazebo and weatherproof PPE station offers side access, allowing visitors to avoid walking through the main building. The service has also introduced a giant-sized iPad on wheels to facilitate virtual calls with relatives, and the registered manager holds regular relatives group meetings to maintain engagement with families.
