Swanage Lodge

Swanage Lodge is a small care home without nursing, supporting up to six people with mental health needs, some of whom may also have a learning disability. At the time of the assessment, three people lived there. The CQC rated the service good overall, prompted by a review after complaints and safeguarding concerns, and found the provider had acted appropriately to keep people safe.

Inspectors found people received personalised care, took part in activities suited to their interests, and were involved in planning their support. Staff were described as kind and attentive, and medicines were managed safely. Some record-keeping, particularly around staff recruitment, was unclear due to an ongoing switch to electronic systems, but the provider showed evidence of improvements made afterwards.
