Pranam Care Centre

Pranam Care Centre accommodates up to 50 older people and younger adults with mental health support needs across two joined buildings. At inspection, 44 people were living at the service. People using the service reported being happy with their care and felt their needs were met, with good relationships with staff. Care was appropriately planned and staff worked with other professionals to review and monitor people's health and wellbeing, assessing risks and planning care in the least restrictive way.

However, inspectors observed concerns about safety. Sometimes staff supported people in unsafe ways when they were walking, which placed them at risk. Staff were not always respectful towards people. The provider's systems and processes for monitoring risk and quality had not always identified where improvements were needed, suggesting gaps in the home's oversight and quality assurance mechanisms.
