Sunhill Court Nursing Home

Sunhill Court Nursing Home provides personal and nursing care for up to 40 people, the majority living with dementia and/or mental health conditions. At inspection, 32 people were using the service.

Inspectors identified concerns about medicine administration. Eye drops were left on top of the trolley, and staff did not maintain hand hygiene between administering medicines to different people. One person who received medicine mixed into their dessert was not supervised to ensure they took all their medication. Some areas of the home were not cleaned or maintained to a good standard. A safeguarding referral was made regarding a person living at the home.
