Stonecross Care Centre

Stonecross Care Centre accommodates up to 32 people in need of personal care across three floors, with some rooms offering en-suite facilities. During inspection, 20 residents were living at the home. Staff recruitment processes were not completely effective at ensuring suitability to work with vulnerable people, and some essential safety checks had not been completed—a continuing breach from the previous inspection with no documented provider oversight. Care, support and environmental risks were not always appropriately identified, assessed or managed. Although fire safety improvements had been made following local fire service intervention, outstanding issues remained and the provider had no active plan to resolve them. People received their medicines as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
