St Gregory's House Limited

St Gregory's House provides personal and nursing care for up to 30 older people in a large Victorian property. At the time of inspection, 16 people were using the service. The home was visually clean, clutter-free and tidy, with frequently touched surfaces cleaned regularly throughout the day. Robust cleaning schedules were in place for deep cleaning of rooms and communal areas, with guidance on appropriate cleaning products. Staff had received training in infection prevention and control, and the home maintained well-stocked PPE stations with sufficient quantities available. All staff adhered to bare below the elbows protocols, wore clean uniforms and appropriate PPE, and practised good hand hygiene. The provider had increased infection control link staff to offer advice and support best practice. Staff levels were monitored to ensure sufficient staffing to safely meet people's needs and support recreational activities. The home had contingency plans in place and arranged regular COVID-19 testing for both staff and residents, whilst supporting relatives to visit and maintain contact through electronic and telephone communication.
