Riverside House

Riverside House accommodates up to 32 people requiring residential care and personal support, including older adults, those living with dementia, and people with physical disabilities or sensory impairments. At inspection, 24 people were using the service. The home is now run by Westmorland and Furness Council following local government reorganisation.

People at the service were safe and protected from abuse, with risks to safety identified and managed appropriately. Staffing levels were adequate to meet people's needs, and staff safely supported people with their medicines. The team received training in infection prevention and control procedures. Staff assessed people's individual needs to ensure the service could provide appropriate support, and the registered manager ensured lessons were learned from incidents to continuously improve safety standards.
