About Fairmead House

Fairmead House is a residential care home in Westmorland and Furness, offering accommodation and personal care in self-contained flats with shared communal areas. Details of the most recent CQC findings are set out below.

This residential care home provides accommodation and personal care to individuals in self-contained flats with access to shared communal areas. At the time of inspection, one person required personal care support, with capacity for up to six residents. Staff ensured people were protected from abuse and identified risks to safety, using risk assessments to promote independence and choice rather than restrict it.

The home maintained enough staffing to support residents safely, including managing medicines and following robust infection prevention procedures. Systems were in place to learn from incidents and improve safety. Staff assessed people's individual needs and provided appropriate support to meet them.
