St Peters Care Home

St Peters accommodates up to 36 people in one adapted building. At the time of inspection, 18 people were receiving care and support. The home had implemented comprehensive infection control measures during the pandemic, including hand sanitisation, face masks, and lateral flow device testing for staff and visitors. People isolating in their bedrooms were able to access communal areas once their isolation period ended. Staff monitored residents' physical health by checking temperatures and observing for COVID-19 symptoms. Some staff members volunteered to temporarily relocate to the home to maintain safe staffing levels throughout the outbreak. Relatives were kept informed of residents' health and welfare through telephone and email contact, with indoor visits restricted to those at end of life. The home maintained adequate supplies of personal protective equipment including gloves, aprons, and face coverings, with staff observed wearing PPE appropriately.
