Clifton Manor Residential Home accommodates up to 47 older people and those living with dementia across two floors with lift access. At inspection, 29 residents were living there. Staff had received safeguarding training and understood their responsibilities to protect people from abuse and harm.
Risks were assessed and managed with detailed guidance, while maintaining a positive approach to residents' lifestyle choices and independence.
The home maintained sufficient staffing levels that were reviewed flexibly to meet individual dependency needs. Safe recruitment checks were completed for all new staff. People received their prescribed medicines safely, and systems protected them from infection and cross contamination.
The service monitored accidents and incidents to identify lessons and reduce further risks. Staff were well trained and supported to deliver effective care.
