This purpose-built care home accommodates 75 people across three floors, offering nursing and personal care along with a short-stay assessment and rehabilitation unit on the first floor. While staff had received training in their roles, care plans did not always provide sufficient guidance, and mental capacity assessments were not consistently completed when staff had concerns about restrictions on residents' liberty. Medicines were mostly managed safely, though staff occasionally failed to record reasons for 'as needed' medications or obtain second staff signatures when handwriting medicine administration instructions. Residents felt safe at the service, with the registered manager actively investigating any concerns raised. The home maintained good infection prevention and control practices.
