St Michaels Nursing Home

St Michaels Nursing Home provides accommodation, personal and nursing care for up to 39 people in an adapted building with a ground floor extension. At inspection, 29 people were using the service, including 16 receiving nursing care.

People's care and daily living arrangements were mostly individualised but not always delivered in a timely or responsive manner. The home was identified as needing management improvements, particularly to increase opportunities for people to participate in activities they enjoyed and found meaningful. These improvements had not yet been fully embedded or sustained as ongoing practice.

The inspection identified risks to people's safety associated with their health conditions, environment and equipment used for care.
