St Luke's Care Home

St Luke's Care Home accommodates up to 34 older people, currently providing nursing and personal care for 23 residents in single rooms, most with en-suite facilities. During the inspection, whilst people reported feeling safe at the service, inspectors identified inconsistencies in risk information and staff response procedures. Record-keeping did not always clearly demonstrate whether care tasks had been completed, and quality assurance systems had failed to identify these shortfalls.

Improvements were needed in the safe management of medicines, and care planning required strengthening to ensure all aspects of residents' wellbeing were properly documented and addressed.
