About St Luke's Care Home

St Luke's Care Home is a nursing home in Leeds, providing accommodation and nursing care for people with a range of needs. Details of the most recent CQC assessment are set out below.

St Luke's Care Home provides accommodation with nursing and personal care for people with a range of needs, supporting 25 people at the time of the assessment. The CQC rated the service Requires Improvement, following concerns about staffing levels, personal hygiene, and food and fluid intake. Inspectors found risks around skin care, continence and nutrition were not always well managed, medicines were not always handled safely, and governance and oversight were inconsistent, though no actual harm was identified.

People and relatives said staffing felt insufficient and menu choice was limited, but described staff as kind, caring and attentive. Feedback suggested improvements were already underway since a new manager started, including better activities and communication.
