About Howgate House

Howgate House is a nursing care home in Bradford. Details of the CQC's most recent findings are set out below.

Howgate House is a care home providing accommodation, nursing and personal care to up to 47 people at the time of the assessment. The CQC rated the service Good overall, finding safe recruitment and training practices, person-centred assessments that were regularly reviewed, and good partnership working with other professionals.

People and relatives spoke positively about staff, describing them as caring and hardworking, and felt involved in care reviews and risk planning. Inspectors did note that staff presence in communal areas was not always adequate, though this had not undermined the overall positive judgement.
