About Champion House

Champion House is a nursing home in Leeds, providing nursing and personal care for adults, including some people with a physical or learning disability. Further detail on how the service performs is set out in the CQC findings below.

Champion House is a care home with nursing for up to 27 people with nursing or personal care needs, some with a physical or learning disability. At the time of assessment, 21 people lived there. The CQC rated the service Good overall, an improvement following previous breaches around risk management, medicines and governance.

Inspectors found recruitment was safe, care plans detailed, and staff morale had improved. Some as-required medicine protocols lacked clear guidance, a few staff had gaps in Mental Capacity Act knowledge, and feedback on involvement in care planning and activities was mixed, with quality assurance systems not yet fully embedded. People said they felt safe and staff were helpful.
