Champion House

Champion House is a care home with nursing that accommodates up to 27 people requiring nursing or personal care support, including some with learning disabilities. At inspection, 26 people were living at the service.

Residents reported feeling safe and content, with one stating, "I am very happy where I am and wouldn't change anything." Relatives shared similarly positive feedback about the home.

However, inspectors identified safety concerns with medication management. Improvements were needed in how the home manages, records and audits medications used to thicken drinks for people at risk of choking, as well as creams prescribed for skin integrity. The service was required to make these changes.
