Spencer House

Spencer House provides residential care and personal care to up to 25 older people, including those living with dementia. At inspection, 21 people were using the service. While staff knew how people preferred to be supported and used electronic devices to guide daily tasks, some newer residents lacked detailed care plans to ensure consistent care. Health risks had not always been properly assessed and monitored, though the registered manager addressed these shortfalls immediately during inspection. The management team's audits had not previously identified these gaps in documentation and risk management. Some areas of the building required repair and redecoration, though plans were underway to refurbish the service with input from residents.
