Springfield House

Springfield House provides personal care to up to 10 people with learning disabilities in one adapted building. People and their relatives reported being happy with the support they received. However, inspectors identified several shortfalls in the service's operation. Medicines management was inadequate, with insufficient numbers of trained and competent staff available on duty to manage medications safely. Staffing levels did not always meet residents' assessed needs, and people were unable to regularly participate in the activities they wanted to engage in. Additionally, identified risks to people had not been properly addressed, including failure to complete necessary health checks for people at risk of constipation and incomplete environmental safety checks, particularly regarding fire safety.
